Question by sjsharks2010: Society and Child Sex offenders?

It is no argument that it is cruel to hurt a child in anyway sexual or physical. I have watched a program on t.v. (Cant remember the name)
John Hopkins Center was where Child sex offenders were being treated.
The man running the program, said that 99% of offenders entering the program, have not re-offended. I may be in a minority of people who feel that EVEN CHILD SEX OFFENDERS DESERVE A 2ND CHANCE! Provided that they have been in a program such as The Hopkins Center has provided. I am also very disturbed, at those sex offenders who served time in prison, and have been rehabilitated,
are physically threatened. Many times they too have been abused as children. Having an addiction myself, I know how hard it is to control ones emotions. And I am against the Death Penalty, two wrongs don’t make a right! Many people say Give them the Death Penalty, too cruel for me to comprehend. THIS IS FOR A SOCIOLOGY PAPER I AM WRITING. So like to hear from those who are educated on this subject and not giving insensitive ignorant responses.

I don’t believe that they should be given more than one chance. Why? Because they abused a CHILD and stole their self-worth and innocence. Does the child get a second chance to have that? Didn’t think so.
